Sub Swara

Sub Swara hails from Brooklyn, New York and plays music with a genre-bending bass weight that parallels the depth and diversity of its hometown.  Consisting of Dhruva, Dave (Sharmaji) and Haj, with vocalist Juakali, Sub Swara’s music centers on a wide array of influences, from dub to dancehall to hip hop to punk rock to funk and global sounds. Meticulously crafted for both the dance floor massive and the headspace, Sub Swara’s music unites tribes by bridging gaps across all lines. The crew blends both electronic production and live instrumentation into its recordings and performances, creating an intense, human touch in its modern, electronic sound.

Sub Swara’s debut album, Coup d’Yah (Low Motion Records), dropped in June of 2008 to wide critical and popular appeal (See the Press page for more), and was followed by multiple volumes of remixes by such next level producers as Ghislain Poirier, Fort Knox 5, Mochipet, Eskmo, Heyoka, iLL.Gates, DJ C, Kush Arora, David Starfire and more.

Dave Q

Best known for establishing Dub War in 2005, Dave Quintiliani aka Dave Q is a man who truly eats, breaths and sleeps the music he loves and Dub War is a natural extension of that passion. Dave's complete immersion in the international dubstep scene from day one puts him on a first-name basis with the sound's leading lights, allowing him access to dubplates for days. Dub War, now a raging monthly at LOVE, is widely celebrated for forcing Dubstep, the wobbly bass-influenced sound of London’s edgy underground generation, upon New York, the last bastion of house and techno purists. Now Five years into that battle, the front lines between the scenes are  irrevocably blurred, opening new space  for fresh explorations.

KRADDY

Known as a pioneer of electronic music, Kraddy is one of the most innovative and remarkable artists of his day. He stands as a visionary in his field, a fresh voice that spans genres and artistic style. Hybridizing hip hop, dubstep and dancehall with digital edits and cuts, Kraddy's music is a voice from the future awakening our ears and minds to what is yet to come.

As a founding member of the Glitch Mob, Kraddy continued to innovate the sound and possibilities of digital music. It was during this time that Kraddy released "Android Porn", a track hailed as the anthem of the "glitch hop" genre. With its epic melody, dramatic builds and unrelenting beats and bass, "Android Porn" marked a milestone in the creation of a sound so fresh, no one had a name for it. After several more well-received releases with the Glitch Mob, Kraddy struck off on his own to pursue his solo career as a producer and performer where he continues to tour worldwide with his futuristic fission of dubstep, hip hop and dancehall.

Kraddy's most recent projects include remixes for Mochipet and Echaskech as well as an Android Porn Remix EP, due out in February 2010. Also highly anticipated in 2010, Kraddy plans to release 4 EPs, each with a different theme. Based on his recent remix work, his fans and fellow producers alike eagerly await to see how Kraddy will reinvent the game once again. 

DJ Slav (Dubbage, Sub Sunday)

Taking influence from various corners of the electronic music spectrum, since 2007 Slav consistently delivers a fresh sound to the masses who appreciate bass heavy music. Located in the epicenter of Connecticut, he actively spreads a wide variety of  the dubstep sound throughout New England.

Being a member of the Dubbage crew, Slav is presented an opportunity to engage with local and already recognized talents in the dubstep scene on a weekly basis. As a resident DJ at Shish Lounge, he plays multiple nights and is the founder of Sub Sunday, a weekly event blowing up the Hartford area. Slav's assortment and selection of music perfectly accompaniments Shish Lounge's sound system which always means a first-rate show. 

DJ Sashwat (DI.FM, Soundcheck Dubs)

Over the past few years, DJ Sashwat has quickly become recognized on an international level throughout the entire EDM scene. Originally from the Midwest, he has proven that he is ready to pop his NYC cherry with his diverse sounds and meticulous song selection. Sashwat has been pushing the best in bass music ever since he started DJing in 2007 and  although he has only been spinning dubstep for a little over a year, he has been highly respected by many of dubsteps finest, as he is consistently stocked with the freshest and hottest dubplates.

DJ Sashwat is perhaps most well-recognized through his monthly radio show, which airs exclusively on DI.FM's Dubstep Channel. Currently the most popular show on the channel, he features guest mixes by the newest up and coming dubstep producers such as Jayou, Cottonmouth, George Lenton, TheBuilder, Laney, p0gman, Fish Finger, Sub Antix, Sine Here, and many more.
